GES signs environmental support contract with Michelâ��s Power

GES participates in the construction of The Luther Forest Technology Campus by supporting Michel’s Corporation with environmental expertise in the 8 mile double 115kV circuit transmission line. The project, centrally located in New York's Tech Valley which stretches from New York City to Montreal, soon will be the home to the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility in the world.

GES recently entered into the Metropolitan New York market by signing a contract with Henckles and McCoy for the installation and mat rental timber mats on the Townsend Transmission Line Project. This is an important step for the GES Management Team. With the inventory of nearly 4,000 mats in the marketplace GES can continue to offer turn key matting solutions for our customers with long term commitments.

PJ/GES LLC is in Final Stages of the distribution of transmission poles for Cianbro on the 52 mile VELCO Southern Loop Project

Global Environmental Solution’s affiliated company PJ/GES LLC was selected by Cianbro to perform the distribution of materials for the new 345 kV power line project. The project, beginning in July 2009, originated at the Vermont Yankee power plant in Vernon, Vermont and finished at the Cavendish, Vermont substation. Working with Cianbro on the third consecutive power line project showed GES’ commitment to the Maine based contractor (Cianbro). This was a unique opportunity for GES to participate in given the unique scope and complexity of the project. Transportation of the 125’ transmission poles weighing nearly 14,000 lbs per pole proved challenging for the PJ/GES LLC management team. Management overcame the challenges with the purchase of a specialty 91’ remote controlled steerable trailer and a 2009 Log-Lift tractor mounted knuckle boom was mobilized to safely handle the oversize poles. Off road equipment including two Timber-Pro forwarders offered ROW options. PJ/GES LLC is expected to finish staging over 900 transmission poles at the installation location on the rolling Southern Loop ROW in late January.

Global Environmental Solution’s (GES) affiliated company Maine Hubzone LLC has recently opened for business. Owners of GES and PM Construction have created the new company to offer set-aside options for government agencies and Prime Contractors. Maine Hubzone LLC is seeking final hubzone approval for the Fryeburg based company. Final certification should close in the first quarter of 2010. Maine Hubzone LLC has already responded to the USDA solicitation to build a Ranger Station in St Croix, Maine; in which the company was the second choice. This week Maine Hubzone LLC entered Phase #2 in the USDA Massabesic Forest Design/ Build Project in York Maine. This team is very excited about the upcoming opportunities for the Fryeburg Maine based company specializing in General Contracting, Energy Sector Support, and Rapid Response Contracting.

GES chosen by Rochester NY â��Strategic Sourcingâ�� to participate in the Maine Power and Reliability Project (MPRP)
